Literature Text

One wore blue and one wore red
As they marched along river beds
Fife and drum began to play,
All on a Bloody morning

One was fightin, one just cried,
One got freedom, one just died
Musketball don't pay no mind
All on a bloody morning

Musketball don't pay no mind
If you're fightin or if you cried
It don't think of the folks behind
Or of the bloody morning

Two girls waiting by the river bed,
For their darlings it is said,
One wore blue and one wore red
All on a bloody morning

(Extra Verse Lyrics)
Still a girl waits by the river bed
For Her lover it is said
She wore black above the red
All on this bloody morning
